Activating LAUSD Student SSOs and MyMail Accounts

Prior to Activating Student Acc ounts:

1. Verify that a signed RUP from student is on file at school (parent notification): Students should have an RUP on file at school, signed by the student and parent/guardian.

2. Digital Citizenship education: Digital Citizenship resources are provided in Module 7: Beyond the Gradebook of the Schoology Train the Trainers course.

3. Strong password: Students should have a strong password before beginning the Single Sign On (SSO) activation process. The SSO is the student username (entire email address) and password.

1. Log into GetData [getdata.] 2. Go to "My Students, Current Year Data" and select "Email / Account Roster" 3. Click "Student Email / Account Roster" 4. Print or Download the Data

Student Email / Account Roster 1. Student Name (Last, First): 2. Ten digit District ID: Required to activate account and change password. 3. Student MyMail address: This is the student user name - the entire email address. Required to log in to District applications such as Schoology and Google Drive. 4. Account Status: This information is not accurate. Students will be able to activate their accounts and change passwords regardless of account status. 5. Emergency Contact Number: This should be the emergency contact number of record. 6. Student PIN: Required to activate account and change password.

Student - refer to screenshots below 1. Go to mylogin., Select "student" 2. Select "Activate your Account or Reset your password" 3. Read RUP, select "Agree" , then select "Accept" 4. Enter District ID, Birth Date (DD/MM/YYYY) and Student PIN 5. Enter password and verify 6. Log into SSO application (Google Drive, Schoology)

1. Go to mylogin. Select "Student"
