1. Users who have lost access to MiSiS due to expired password

1. Check password, and if it has expired follow the steps below to reset your password (you need to know your current password to use this option)

2. Click on this link to navigate to the Self Service Console for Single Sign-on (SSO) account issues.

3. Select the role that applies to your position Student Parent/Volunteer Employee Contractor, Community Member, Charter School Employees

4. Click on the second option to reset your current password to a new password.

5. Accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy by checking the "I agree to the terms and condition of LAUSD", then clicking the Accept button.

6. Login with your SSO account name and CURRENT password and Click on "Change password" ******(users who have NOT already selected a SECURITY IMAGE, need to continue to the section "Your security image." A series of images will appear for you to choose from. Once you have selected one, it will be added to the "Change your Password" page. (You only have to do this once, unless you want to select a new one.)

7. On the "Change your Password" page, enter your CURRENT password. 8. Review the PASSWORD RULES on this page to ensure the new password you have in mind can be

used. Please note that you cannot reuse a previously used password. Enter (and re-enter) your NEW password. 9. Once you click Submit, you will be returned to the launch page. You will be presented with one of the two images below to confirm or deny your success in the password reset process. If you receive the Success message, no further action is needed. If you receive an error message, please review the reason for the failure. Update or correct the required fields and click on Submit again. 10. Once you have successfully changed your password, log out.

2. Users who have lost access to MiSiS due to forgotten password

1. Click on this link to navigate to the Self Service Console for Single Sign-on (SSO) account issues.

2. Select the role that applies to your position Student Parent/Volunteer Employee Contractor, Community Member, Charter School Employees

3. Click on the third option to reset your forgotten password to create a new password. 4. Accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy by checking the "I agree to the terms and

condition of LAUSD, the clicking the Accept button. 5. Confirm your identity by entering your account name and pressing Next

6. "Confirm your Identity", by providing your personal information.

7. You will be shown several security images. If your security image is there, select it, and press NEXT.

8. If not, choose "None of the Above." If you have not selected a security image, follow Steps 6 and 7 below. Otherwise, skip to Step 8.

9. A series of images will appear for you to choose from. Once you have selected one, it will be added to the "Change your Password" page. (You only have to do this once, unless you want to select a new one.)

10. Press "Next", the system will validate the information that you provided. If there is an error, you will receive the message below. Please repeat the process and correct the error.

11. If all information is correct, you will be asked to "Provide the required fields below. Your new password must meet the password requirements indicated."

12. Press Submit, and you should receive the message - Action was Successful! - Your new password has been set.

Note: Some systems, including Email, may not receive the new password change immediately. Please wait at least 10 minutes and try to log in again.

3. Users new to a school, or who have changed schools MUST add the new location to their account using the EZ Access website:

1. On the EZ Access Main Menu screen, click the LAUSD Employees link or LAUSD log

2. On the EZ Access Login screen, type your Single Sign On Username and Password

3. On the EZ Access Application Selection screen, click the MiSiS logo.

4. The application will automatically display the request date. You must enter all of the information in the required fields (boxes marked with the red* asterisks).

5. Use the dropdown menu to select the Teacher user role. You must click the Add button after the Teacher user role is selected. The new role will then appear in the Selected Roles box.

6. Read the Confidentiality Agreement carefully and click the I agree checkbox. In the Electronic Signature box, type your SSO username and click Submit.

7. You will receive both an on-screen and email confirmation of your application.

8. Users can check the status of their requests.

9. To exit, click on the Logout link on the top right corner of the screen.
