Target studentsInternational students 8. Summary of contentThis module assumes no prior knowledge of the language. It introduces the basic structure of the language through topics relating to social and everyday life in the countries where the target language is spoken. Each session will consist of a variety of activities arising from the themes and structures which underpin the course programme. Students are also required to undertake a programme of autonomous learning.9. Summary of contentClasses are conducted as far as possible in the target language.10. Assessment detailsStudents must complete all of the following:Participation – students should participate all the on-line activities. 40%Presentation – students will produce a short video in the target language to evidence (in the target language). 60%11. AimsStudents will learn and practise the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing together with basic grammatical structures. This will enable them to manipulate the language and participate effectively in everyday social situations. Full use will be made of communicative methods and, as far as possible; teaching will be through the target language. 12.
