Emery High Drivers EducationEmery High School offers both classroom and behind the wheel driver training. The classroom portion of training is 30 hours. Classes are either before or after school during the school year. Three classes are taught during the summer and are filled by registering with the class instructor. All individuals who have never been licensed to drive a motor vehicle must complete an approved driver education course before being licensed in Utah. Upon completion of the classroom portion of training one of the driver education instructors will contact you to drive. The driving portion consists of 12 hours driving with an approved instructor and includes a road test at the end of that time period. Requirements to Enroll in Drivers Education ClassMust be registered and attending Emery High SchoolMust be at least 15 years of ageMust have obtained a Learners Permit or can show proof of an attempt to do so (A Learners Permit is given by the Driver License Division-located in Price- after a student has passed a 50 question exam and paid the fee) Class fee is $100 STUDENT MUST ATTEND AND COMPLETE ALL HOURS OF THE CLASS THEY ARE ENROLLED IN Parent and student must attend Zero Fatalities presentation.
