|The intent of this specification is to describe the Tacoma Public Utility | | | | |

|(IFB). The estimated quantities of selected options for the initial purchase| | | | |

|are shown in Bid Item 4 and will be considered in the cost basis for | | | | |

|determining the “lowest responsive bidder” for this contract. The contractor| | | | |

|will be responsible to work with sub-contractors to complete this work if | | | | |

|they are not capable of it themselves. The warranty for the complete vehicle| | | | |

|will be administered by the main contractor who will in turn contact the | | | | |

|sub-contractor (if needed) and make sure the repairs are done in a timely | | | | |

|manner. This multiple purchase will be of several sizes and configurations | | | | |

|to fit the immediate and future needs of TPU and other governmental agencies| | | | |

|and public utilities. Bidders must bid both van and options to be considered| | | | |

|responsive for this bid (Items #1 and #2), Options (Item #3) and Selected | | | | |

|Options (Item #4). If the contractor intends to supply an equal brand or | | | | |
