Tutoring- will be after school Monday thru Thursday from 2:30 pm – 3:30 in the Media Center.

Weekly Lesson Plans- Can be found on the website, click on my name and then the correct week.

Absences- If you are absent you are responsible to get any notes or work that was done during that class time. The daily assignment book will be on the counter in a 3-ring binder. Worksheets will be in a folder in the back of the room or can be found on FOCUS. Missing assignments are due within 2 days of the day you missed. Work that is turned in late will receive at most a 60%

depending on the quality of work.

Cell Phone and Technology Use In Class- All bags will be kept on the shelves during class. Cell phones and any other electronic devices, other than a calculator, are to be in their bags unless teacher permission.is given. Consequences is as follows: 1.) Conference with the student. 2.) Phone call home to parents and/or guardians will be made. 3.) A referral will be written and given to the assistant principal.

To Leave The Classroom For Any Reason- Students must sign in and out to leave the classroom for any reason, using the designated computer. If using the restrooms, students’ will also need to take the designated pass. Restrooms are to be used 20 minutes after class starts and ten minutes before class ends (this rule has been passed down from Principal Bob Bedford).

Materials Needed for Class

1.) 1- 2” 3-ring binder (preferred for organizational purposes)

2.) 2- pocket folders one will be used for your Geometry Packet and the other for completed work.

3.) Highlighters, colored pens or pencils for notes (at least 5 different colors).

4.) Wide rule paper and graph paper

5.) Dividers- (if using a binder) 8 or more (so you can stay organized). Labeled as follows: Ch Notes/Txtbk Work/Wksht (same for other chapters), Vocab, Quizzes and Tests.

6.) #2 Pencils

7.) Math tools needed: compass and a protractor (school calculators will be used in class)

Content to be covered- Tools of Geometry, Surface Area and Volume of 3-dimensional figures, Parallel and Perpendicular lines, Congruent Triangles, Relationships of Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Proportions, Similarity, Right Triangles and Trigonometry.

Quarter Grades - 60% - Tests/Quizzes

25% - Homework

15% - Classwork such as Geometry Pkt, SIM’s Pkts

and any other work done in class.
