RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION AND RECOGNITION OF SERVICE

Susan Burkhamer

WHEREAS, Susan Burkhamer, started her career at Washoe County on March 5, 2001, and served the citizens of Washoe County for more than 14 years; and

WHEREAS, Sue has demonstrated dedication and support of the Community Services Department's mission to provide exceptional parks, open space and recreational opportunities, while preserving our natural, historical and cultural resources, as an active and willing staff member; and

WHEREAS, As a Recreation Coordinator and Park Ranger, Sue was an energetic steward of the County's parks and managed important multi-generational recreation programs including the Come In From the Cold Family Series that were enjoyed by thousands of participants; and

WHEREAS, Sue fostered positive partnerships with numerous community organizations throughout our region, most notably the Robert Z. Hawkins Foundation; and

WHEREAS, As Theater Manager of the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater at Bartley Ranch Regional Park, she took great pride to ensure that every act, visitor, vendor, volunteer, and employee had a memorable experience; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Open Space and Regional Parks Commission expresses its appreciation to Susan Burkhamer for her hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication to Washoe County and its residents, and wishes Sue all the best in her welldeserved retirement and future endeavors.
