Instructions For Registering Your LexisNexis Activation Code
Forgot Your LexisNexis Custom ID? Forgot Your LexisNexis Password?
LexisNexis has implemented new security measures to protect customers’ personal information. As a result, you are now required to sign on to LexisNexis using a Custom ID and password.
What if I forget my Custom ID?
(1) Go to lawschool.
(2) Click on the “Forgot your Custom ID?” link.
This will take you to a screen which lists your options
for finding out your custom ID.
If you still have your 7-character LexisNexis ID, click the link to access the registration system to view your Custom ID (directions below).
If you do not know your LexisNexis 7-digit ID number, please contact your LexisNexis Account Executive, Deanna Kucler (deanna.kucler@) or call our 24/7 Customer Support at 1-800-45-LEXIS, or access our Live Research Help service to chat online with a Customer Support representative.
(3) After clicking the “registration system” link, on the next screen, scroll down to “Returning Students/Faculty/Staff Members” heading.
(4) Click on the “Student” button.
(5) Enter your LexisNexis 7-digit ID.
NOTE: Your 7-character ID does not
contain lowercase Ls or capital Os.
Please use the numbers 1 and 0
instead.
(6) Click the “NEXT” button.
(7) On the next page, at the top of the screen, you will see your Custom ID listed.
Please note this information somewhere that you can easily find it again.
(8) Update your name, email or other personal information as appropriate.
(9) Click the “SUBMIT” button.

What if I forget my LexisNexis password?
(1) Go to lawschool.
(2) Click on the “Forgot your Password?” link.
(3) On the next screen, complete the form.
• Enter your Custom ID
If you can’t remember your Custom ID, see the instructions above.
• Enter your security question information.
Please note that you must respond to the SAME security question which you previously selected.
If you can’t remember your security question, call 24/7 Customer Support
at 1-800-45-LEXIS.
• Click the “Submit” button.
(4) On the next screen you will get a confirmation that your password request was successful.
LexisNexis will send you an email with a password reminder. The email will be sent to the address associated with your LexisNexis ID. The email will come from LexisNexis Email Request/LexisNexis Print Delivery.
If you cannot provide a valid Custom ID and/or a valid security question,
please call 24/7 Customer Support at 1-800-45-LEXIS.
