ACS approves and monitors all training programs and issues certifications to administrators who have met the training and testing requirements.PS 373 (8/00Page 1 of 3CONCEPT OF POSITION:Under the supervision of the ACS, Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Office Technician - Typing (OT) processes a variety of sensitive information regarding administrator certification applications in RCFE, ARF, STRTP and GH Facilities. The OT must therefore act in an independent manner while exercising good judgment. This position is part of a team that is responsible for the processing of the $1.5 million of revenue that Community Care Licensing Division receives on an annual basis. A. RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:55%Review and process administrator certification applications, which includes preparing written correspondence and processing incoming fees as necessary. Review certificates for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintains a variety of program controls and logs. Develops and maintains management reports and statistical reports as needed. Enters administrator certification data into an automated database and issues completed certificates. 20%Receives and responds to a high volume of telephone calls to the ACS from the public and program offices regarding status of applications, address changes, criminal background check issues, test results, and general questions related to the ACS functions.10%Performs searches in the Licensing Information System database for criminal record information on certification applicants and associate administrators in reference to ACS licensing number. Updates the Certification database with current address information. Generates reports and forms related to legal cases. Contacts Department of Justice to resolve complex pending fingerprint clearance requests. 5%Works with other staff in the ACS to coordinate operational procedures and to suggest changes for improvements and efficiencies.5%Provide support activities which include preparation and typing of general correspondence, compiling data and other written reports.5%Other duties as required, such as filing, and providing back-up support to other Office Technicians within the Policy, Training and Certification Branch.Page 2 of 3B. Calls must be handled tactfully to ensure that good working relations and public relations are maintained.E.
