Supportive Housing, Group Homes and Skilled Nursing Facilities in Nevada

The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public and Behavioral Health Division issues licenses for various types of health facilities. A subset of these licensed facilities provide beds for residential treatment, supportive housing or group homes. The tables below give information about this subset of health facilities, and the number of beds and low income beds available for each Nevada county and type of licensed health facility. To find lists of the individual facilities, use the DHHS health facility locator available at .

Not included in the totals above are dedicated skilled nursing beds in hospitals and swing beds that can serve as either acute care or skilled nursing beds. According to the Nevada Rural and Frontier Health Data Book there were an additional 221 skilled nursing beds and 103 swing beds licensed in rural and frontier Nevada in 2016. See Table 6.2. "Number and Type of Licensed Beds in Community Hospitals in Rural and Frontier Nevada ? 2017." (Griswold, 2017). Also not included in the totals were community-based living arrangement beds since data is preliminary as of this writing.
