She now has a new knee and is MUCH more mobile. 187642589535Here she is on snowshoes for the first time since the surgery. She could have done it sooner but we had to wait for snow.00Here she is on snowshoes for the first time since the surgery. Oak Harbor is on Whidbey Island about 2 hours’ drive away during non-rush hours, 3 during. Their house is at the end of a cul-de-sac and was built in 1878. If that sounds like a contradiction, it is worth noting that the cul-de-sac was put in way after the house was built. Robert is working for the Island County Building department in Coupeville.-95252222500Ava is still staying very busy, primarily with the State Council on Aging and has been reappointed to the Seattle King Council on Aging. She was also very active in the local branch of the Democratic Party chairing the district caucus to choose delegates in the recent presidential primary. My most interesting hike this year was to Second Burrows on Mt. Rainier. I used to hike to Third Burrows but I knew I was not up to that any more. Our favorite books for the year are as follows: Bill: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, a story of life in occupied France during WW2. Ava The Great Reckoning (A chief Inspector Gamache Novel) by Louise Penney which is set in a small town in Quebec. Miss Ava (almost 12), The Body in the Wood: A Point Last Seen Mystery by April Henny. Diane liked Dumped in Vegas a suspense novel by Sheila Strehle whom she attends church with. Joshua liked Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. You probably noticed that we did not send out cards last year so we have enclosed last year’s letter with this years. With everything around the celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary they never got mailed out. We will try to do better on our 75th.May the New Year be a bright new start for us all.bill@, ................
