The Department of Veterans (VA) Insurance Service mission is to provide highvalue insurance benefits and services to America's Veterans, Servicemembers, and their beneficiaries.

VA's Insurance Service: ? Provides courteous customer communications that is fully explained, clear, and timely; ? Has a diverse, knowledgeable, and satisfied workforce; ? Provides insurance services that are equal or superior to those provided by private insurance companies; ? Provides insurance services at a cost that is competitive with private insurance companies; and ? Provides fast, convenient access for all policyholders and beneficiaries.

VA Insurance Service Core Values VA Insurance Service shares VA's five core values: integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence. The core values define "who we are," our culture and how we care for Veterans. Our values are more than just words ? they affect outcomes in our daily interactions with Veterans, Servicemembers, and their beneficiaries. The first letter of each word - Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, Excellence - creates a powerful acronym, "I CARE." The I CARE acronym is a constant reminder of Insurance Service employees' important role and commitment to those we serve.
