Synergistic Activities:

Director, Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies, San Francisco State University, the only educational research facility located directly on San Francisco Bay. The campus serves as an interdisciplinary research organization for coastal and estuarine studies in San Francisco Bay and the California central coast (2006-present).

General Member and Executive Committee member for the CSU COAST (Council for Ocean Affairs, Science and Technology), a CSU-wide affinity group to bring together the large, but distributed coastal, estuarine and marine-related expertise to address environmental and regulatory issues important to ensure a sustainable California coast (2008-present).

Principle Investigator for the Coastal Ocean Current Monitoring Program – northern California (COCMP-NC) that established and operates a California coast-wide array of HF radar surface current monitoring instruments (2004-2011).
