ALLERGY TESTING INFORMATION

Referrals

If you are required to have a written referral for testing from your Primary Care Physician, please bring it with you on the day of your initial allergy visit. Your referral must indicate the name of the ALLERGIST (not your ENT physician), and must indicate Allergy Testing and Treatment as the diagnosis.

Instructions for testing:

Please wear a short sleeved or a loose fitting shirt to your appointments. The following medications are NOT to be taken for 5 to 7 days prior to each allergy testing appointment:

PLEASE NOTE: The above list may not be comprehensive. Please double check all over the counter medications you are taking, especially sleep aids, to ensure they do not contain antihistamines. If you are uncertain, please check with us.

Please notify the allergy nurse and/or physician prior to your visit if you are currently taking any blood pressure mediation (specifically Beta-blockers) or are using any eye drops to treat glaucoma.
