Year 1 Resource List

Reception/Year 1 Resource ListThese are the resources which class teachers need in order to teach the Hamilton plans. These are exhaustive lists - i.e. they are the resources you would have in an ideal world. So it is possible to teach the Hamilton plans without some of these resources (and many teachers do). But these are the things which, if you are wanting to allow teachers to do the best possible job, a school would have.Class based resourcesAutumnSpringSummerWashing line, 20 pegs and large number 1–20 cardsMini-pegs and string to make a mini-washing lineSmall toys, conkers, shells, cars, animalsLego?Multilink cubesPost-it notesTM20-bead bar20-bead stringsBig bricksPlasticineTM1-10 diceBeanbag Two large spotty foam diceCoat hanger with 10 pegs, 5 in one colour and 5 in another, and a cloth1-6 spotty dice1-6 number dice1,2 diceCountersSets of dominoesPots of real/plastic coinsLarge replica coinsLots of plastic ?1 coinsLarge ?1 coinsPost-it notes?Play doughCars and garageCounting animals1–10 trackDigit cards or number fans1-10 cards0-20 cardsEnlarged 0-20 beaded line1-100 number grid100-bead bar and tagsSmall world play figures and houseWashing line, 20 pegs and large number 1–20 cards1-100 number gridToy spider and flyLego bricks?Cubes 100-bead bar and tags0-9 digit cardsPost-it notes?Counters1-10 number cardsTwo large spotty foam diceLarge 1-6 numerical dice1-6 diceLarge mock (or IWB) 10p, 5p, ?1, 2p and 1p coinsReal 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and ?1 coins; pots of plastic 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and ?1 coinsSets of number cards 1-20Bean bagDice with 1 or 2 spots on each side (use a blank dice or cover spots with labels)100 bead strings10s and 1s place value cardsPots of 10p and 1p coins1-100 number track (or use the cut up 1-100 square from Autumn week 6)1-10 number tracks0 to 20 number linePlaydough/saltdough10 pegs, 5 in one colour, and 5 in another, coat hanger and cloth Mini-world animals e.g. cows, sheep, horsesConstruction bricksCounting bears/similarNumicon?1–100 number square100-bead bar, cloth and tagsCounters0–9 digit cardsPost-it?
