Eligibility & Requirements

This application can be submitted by mail or email to add, update or remove your information from the Ontario Register of Future Voters. You can also register online at eregistration.elections.on.ca.

This application can be used to request that your information be:

? added or removed; or ? updated (if your information has changed).

To be eligible, you must be:

? 16 or 17 years of age; ? a Canadian citizen; and ? a resident of Ontario.

You will need to submit one piece of ID with your name and current residential address. Find examples of ID on the provided List of Acceptable ID included in this package.

The completed application and a copy of an acceptable ID can be submitted in one of two ways:

Important Information

If you are on the Ontario Register of Future Voters, you will be automatically added to the voters list when you turn 18.

Only the applicant can add, update or remove their information on the Ontario Register of Future Voters. We will not accept forms submitted on behalf of another person.

The personal information of future voters is used by Elections Ontario to update the voters list and is not shared with other political entities or other electoral management bodies (e.g. Elections Canada).
