Important Figures in the Abolitionist Movement
SSUSH8 The student will explain the relationship between growing north-south divisions and westward expansion.
a. Explain how slavery became a significant issue in American politics; include the slave rebellion of Nat Turner and the rise of abolitionism (William Lloyd Garrison, Frederick Douglass, and the Grimke sisters).
Below is a list of famous historical figures in the abolitionist movement. Your job will be to create a trading card for each individual(s). THIS IS A PROJECT/TEST GRADE.
Each trading card must include, but not limited to the following items:
(a picture of the individual
(birth/death date
(Occupation/job
(contribution/historical impact to the history of the abolitionist movement *
(an interesting fact that most people would not know about this individual
(creativity/neatness/use of technology
Your cards should be informative and they should look like actual trading cards:

5. Harriet Beecher Stowe
