On November 8, 2007, the Board of Directors of the Wyandotte County Fair Association (“WCFA”) created the County Fair Foundation (“CFF”) to, among other things, promote post-secondary education for students:

*who have graduated or will graduate from a high school located in Wyandotte County, Kansas

or

*who have participated in the 4-H Program within Wyandotte County, Kansas

or

* who are current recipients of this scholarship and are reapplying

What must you do to be considered for a scholarship award?

Eligibility of the scholarship is dependent on the following criteria:

← Those who have graduated or will graduate from a high school located in Wyandotte County, Kansas

← If you have participated in a 4-H program in Wyandotte County, Kansas, please provide evidence of that participation. However, participation in 4-H is not required for receipt of this scholarship.

← Be enrolled, be accepted for enrollment, or state an intention to enroll at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, located in the State of Kansas;

← Provide proof of previous scholastic achievement in the form of a transcript, proving a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5 or greater.

← Provide a letter of recommendation from a previous instructor or other individual unrelated to you; and

← Submit this scholarship application, a cover letter, a current resume reflecting work experiences, and other applicable attachments (see how do you apply?) to the CFF by February 15, 2012.

If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, what will CFF expect from you?

All recipients will be required to:

• Attend the CFF dinner meeting at which your scholarship award will be made.

• Submit final grades or transcript for the year.

• Provide a status report to the CFF Scholarship Committee at the end of each semester or equivalent, as requested.

How do you apply?

You should submit the following information as indicated below:

• Clearly typed or printed Scholarship Application.

• Evidence of Participation in a 4-H Program in Wyandotte County, Kansas, if applicable.

• Official high school or college transcripts from all schools attended.

• One letter of recommendation from a previous instructor or other individual unrelated to you.

• A resume reflecting work experience.

• A typed, informal letter to the Scholarship Committee indicating your expectations for applying your education upon graduation

• Your special qualifications as a Scholarship Applicant.

How will you know if you are chosen to receive a scholarship?

Winning applicants will be notified by the Scholarship Committee. The final determination will be made by March 15, 2012. The decision of the CFF Scholarship Committee is final. Re-application is necessary to be considered for future scholarship awards.

What is the deadline for application?

Your application must be received by February 15, 2014.
