Position Title: Electronic Tech

Salary: TBD

Location: IMD/IT

Position Summary/Goal: Electronic Tech will facilitate electronic installation/repair of, multimedia systems, television systems, school auditorium sound and lighting systems, Security camera systems, Cat 5 Data/Communication Hardware, and other instructional materials related to total school related operations.

Term of Employment:

▪ 12 month position

Reporting Relationships:

▪ Reports to IMD/IT Manager

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience: Minimum of two year experience in related field.

2. Clearances: Must hold or obtain FBI, State Police, and Child Abuse clearances.

3. Repairs and installs, operates and maintains electronic equipment such as but not limited to: School Sound Systems, School Intercom systems (Analog and IP), School Television and Radio for Channel 8, School CATV Systems, Electronic Score Boards, TVs, PC Computer Hardware, Monitors, Promethean Interactive Boards, and LCD Projectors.

4. Set up sound systems for special functions. Setup and run Multi Camera Video recording systems for School District Events. Set up video and sound systems for school requests.

5. Use all special tools and testers and related equipment necessary to perform the proper functions of the required work.

6. Read and work from schematics, blueprints, plans and specifications and other related designs. Selects proper tools, determine materials to be used, and accomplish work in accordance with appropriate methods and accepted trade and/or industrial practices.

7. Installation and maintenance of security cameras, IP Video Camera systems and related software.

8. Installation and repair of Video conferencing system.

9. Ability to install and repair of Cat 5 data lines and CAT 5 patch rack systems

10. Ability to work with all types of Wiremold installation material and other types on installation material.

11. Knowledge of working with fiber optics installation and splicing

12. Perform such other related electronic work as may be assigned.

13. Knowledge of school auditorium lighting control systems.

14. Ability to learn and work with the School Districts electronic key/lock system.

Special Requirements:

▪ Physical Demands: Ability to move equipment weighing 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and work from high places.

▪ Work Environment: Ability to work after school hours including weekends and/or evenings.

▪ Driver’s License and Vehicle

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

▪ Operate, maintain, and repair Electronic equipment, Computer Equipment Hardware, Sound systems, school Intercoms, Data/Communication lines.

▪ Organize and collaborate with groups or individuals for projects.

▪ Set up video and sound systems for school requests.

▪ Installation and maintenance of security cameras, IP Video Camera systems and related software.

▪ Ability to prioritize and complete numerous projects with deadlines.

Evaluation: Conducted annually.
