UNCLAIMED MONEYS - NATIONAL LIST NUMBER 50 - 2008

INTRODUCTION

The Mori Trustee and the Office of the Mori Trustee (the Mori Trust Office) were created by statute enacted in 1920. The activities and responsibilities of the Mori Trustee are currently governed by the Mori Trustee Act 1953 and amendments.

The main functions of the Mori Trustee are: ? Administration of Mori owned land under an agency or trust for the owners; and ? Collection and distribution to owners of rents and other income from the land that the Mori Trustee administers.

Historically, the published Unclaimed Moneys list has generally listed all accounts where a claim has not been established for 10 years or more. This year the list comprises accounts where substantial funds are held by the Mori Trustee to the credit of the persons named, regardless of whether or not the funds have been held for 10 years. The names are listed alphabetically by surname.

Although the details were current at the time of printing, Mori Trust Office records are subject to amendment so there are likely to have been some changes since the printing of this list. It is also probable that a number of the accounts are already the subject of succession proceedings through the Mori Land Court.

Please check the list and if you see a name that you recognise, please take the following action:

1. If you see your own name please complete the response form available or contact one of our offices and an "Identity Form" will be sent to you. This will assist us to confirm your identity to enable the funds to be paid out;

2. If you see the name of someone you know (and whose address you know) please complete the response form available or contact one of our offices and the appropriate forms will be sent to them;

3. If you see the name of someone who is deceased and you believe that you are entitled to succeed to that person, please contact the Mori Land Court who will be able to assist you (you may also advise us on the response form available);

4. If you see the name of someone who is deceased and you know of others who may be entitled to succeed to that person, please contact the potential successors and ask them to contact the Mori Land Court for advice on succession (you may also advise us on the form available).

Any unclaimed money which is contained in this list or has at any time been contained in a previous list may still be claimed by the person(s) entitled to that money.
