BERRYHILL ELEMENTARY CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONSThe Berryhill Board of Education believes that certain extracurricular and social activities can enhance the learning environment of our schools. Parents or guardians of students will notify the school administration that they are withholding permission for their child(ren) to join or participate in one or more clubs or organizations. Parents or guardians shall be responsible for preventing their child from participating in a club or organization in which permission is withheld. Parents or guardians are also responsible for retrieving their child(ren) from attendance at a club or organization in which participation is withheld. Below is a list of the clubs, organizations, and activities that are available to some or all of the elementary students enrolled at Berryhill Public Schools:Student Council – The mission of student council is to develop students’ knowledge of government and civic responsibility and provide opportunities for leadership. 4th – 6th grade students are eligible to run.Sponsors: Mrs. Karen Watkins and Mrs. Amy Wilson Elementary Honor Choir – The mission of honor choir is to increase students’ knowledge of music theory and develop performance skills. 4th – 6th grade students are eligible to try out.Sponsor: Mrs. Carol HilbornElementary School Musical – The mission of the school musical is to allow students to work as a team and build a love for the arts through auditioning, rehearsing and performing a Junior Broadway musical. 4th – 6th grade students are eligible to audition.Directors: Carol Hilborn, Young Rembrandts – The mission of Young Rembrandts is to offer a skill building course and an appreciation for art in an after school setting. Parents pay by the session for their student to attend.K – 3rd grade students and 4th – 6th grade students are eligible to register.Instructors: Mrs. Jade Archer(K-3) and Mrs. Amy Rogers (4-6)Future Chef Competition – The mission of the future chef competition is to allow students to build and showcase their culinary arts skills through entering a recipe and being chosen to participate in the cooking competition itself. 1st – 6th grade students are eligible to enter a recipe.Sponsored by Sodexo ................
