BIKER NAMESAs many of you know I have been a motorcyclist for about 40 of my 50-something years. I did take a break and did not ride for a number of years. Back surgeries and back pain have kept me from riding as much as I’d like, but I got back into riding again about 2006. As the biker lifestyle would have it, many of us have a “road” name and go by other than what’s on our birth certificate (for those of us who have a birth certificate). I found that names are all over the map from “Ace” to “Zelda”, some I’ll not even mention here if they are too vulgar. Those of you who are new to this should know that you don’t just pick a name for yourself, but you are given a name usually from someone you ride with, probably due to a character trait or something you’ve done (or not). I thought it would be cool to start a Biker Name List, so below are some of the characters I have run into on the road in my travels. Don’t write a book, but I would like to know what part of the country you are from…..maybe City and State would be nice, not full address, just city and state.
