APPLIED MATERIALS GRANT
Applied Materials has a special interest in funding education grant proposals that: ? Benefit students in grades K-12 ? Focus on traditional skills such as reading, writing, math, science and technology, and other subjects that prepare young people for college and career ? Address critical education needs through innovative approaches to learning ? Expand existing efforts in order to reach more students or a wider geographic area ? Actively partner with other nonprofit groups to create, implement or evaluate shared programs ? Offer opportunities for employee engagement
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a school or 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Applied prioritizes the needs of neighborhoods near their facilities, including Santa Clara, CA
Deadline to apply: January 15 and June 15, yearly Grant Announcement: March 15?31 and August 15-31
ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN EDUCATORS FOUNDATION CLASSROOM GRANTS
Classroom grants can be used for a variety of projects and materials, including but not limited to books, software, calculators, math manipulatives, art supplies, audio-visual equipment, and lab materials. Funds must be used within one year of the application deadline.
Eligibility Requirements: Full time educators who have not received a scholarship or grant from AAE in the previous 18 months. Awards are competitive. AAE members receive additional weight in the scoring rubric.
Deadline to apply: March 1 and October 1, yearly Grant Amount: Up to $500
CHISHOLM FOUNDATION EDUCATION GRANTS
Since 1961, the Chisholm Foundation has supported initiatives to advance education, the arts, and religion. The Foundation encourages prospective grantees to seek matching gifts or challenge grants that bolster the effect of its support. DOLLAR GENERAL LITERACY FOUNDATION
Family Literacy Grants provide funding to family literacy service providers. Organizations applying for funding must have the following three components:
1. Adult education instruction 2. Children's education 3. Parent and Child Together Time (PACT)

Grant Amount: Up to $4,000
Summer Reading Grants provide funding to local nonprofit organizations and libraries to help with the implementation or expansion of summer reading programs. Programs must target Pre-K through 12th grade students who are new readers, below grade readers, English Language Learners, or readers with learning disabilities.
Eligibility Requirements: Non-profit organizations, schools, libraries within 20 miles of a Dollar General store.

EZRA JACK KEATS MINI-GRANTS
The Ezra Jack Keats Foundation gives to eligible organizations to provide creative, innovative programs that support or extend the Common Core Standards in education. Programs may serve children from preschool to grade 12.
Eligibility Requirements: Public schools, public libraries and public preschool programs such as Head Start are eligible. Private, parochial and charter schools as well as non-profit organizations are not eligible.

ILA CORWIN LITERACY LEADER AWARD
This award is presented to a district or school administrative literacy leader who has recognized the importance of building a culture of literacy within a school or district by offering literacy professional development, instructional resource support, and/or developing specific literacy programs to build capacity and increase student literacy achievement.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be an ILA member; knowledgeable in the practice of effective literacy leadership and leadership skills, building school teams, and motivating groups; knowledgeable leader in the processes of change in schools as a means of improving student literacy learning; dedicated and tireless literacy leader with the ability to inspire and implement long-term improvements through efforts, encouragement, and service to further development in the field of literacy; proven ability to create a culture of literacy teaching and learning within a school or district through professional development, instructional resource support, and/or developing specific literacy programs to build capacity and increase student literacy achievement; ongoing initiation and development of original ideas that advance the knowledge and understanding of the reading process and/or improve practices in literacy instruction and development; longstanding contributions to the design and implementation of literacy curriculum through varied methods of presentation [e.g. lectures, seminars, writings] for literacy professionals

ILA REGIE ROUTMAN TEACHER RECOGNITION GRANT
The International Literacy Association (ILA) Regie Routman Teacher Recognition Grant is a US$2,500 annual grant that honors an outstanding K?8 classroom teacher dedicated to improving and enriching the teaching and learning of purposeful reading and writing across the curriculum. At least 60 percent of the school's students must qualify for free or reduced lunch. The grant may not be used for purchase of commercial programs or technology hardware. Applicants must be ILA members.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be an ILA member, at least 60% of the school's students must qualify for free or reduced lunch, must be a classroom teacher in grades K ? 8.
