Education Specifications in the Emirati School - Cycle 3 - Grades 9 - 12

The pre-university educational system in the United Arab Emirates relies on a multi-stream system that guarantees choice opportunities for the student and provides them with a unique education according to their goals and aspirations.

Curriculum standards are characterized by integration and inclusion according to STREAM standards translated by the study, plan with a diverse subject package that meets the requirements of achieving the standards on the one hand, and the learning outcomes stated in the unified national curriculum and assessment framework standards on the other.

Curriculum standards and learning outputs are built to match the highest standards in the world to ensure the admission of the Emirati school graduate to the most powerful international universities, including Emirati universities that occupy an advanced international position in international rankings related to quality and research efficiency.

The curricula in the Emirati school are designed according to standards and learning outcomes that are based on international standards at the highest level in all subjects. It is characterized by a high ceiling of standards to achieve the State Vision 2021, and the National Agenda indicators. This is a natural development of the educational output evolution journey in the Ministry of Education.
The study plan at the Emirati School revolves around three areas: ? Core subjects (common core stem in different streams). ? Specialized Subjects (Subjects of which depth of knowledge differs from one
stream to another and is sometimes unique to one than others). ? Elective subjects (various subjects of which strands increase a year after year, and
students are allowed to select what they like to study according to potential capabilities).
The Emirati school provides the student with other educational resources that would help the student achieve the required knowledge and skill level stated in the learning and assessment standards. In addition to the main available resource in textbooks.
Capabilities of the Emirati School Graduate

General Stream Graduates: Able to complete their undergraduate studies in scientific, applied, and human disciplines; This is because they study scientific subjects and mathematics with standards that exceed those of the accredited scientific branch in a number of countries.

Advanced Stream Graduates: Able to complete their university studies in all majors including medical colleges. Health Sciences subject paves the way for students to enroll in health-related disciplines, given that biology is taught in Grades 9 and 11, and the student completes all its fields.

Applied Technology High Schools Advanced Stream Graduates: Eligible to continue their studies in the various disciplines of Engineering Technology, Computing, Management, Economics, Supportive Health Sciences, Business Administration, Trade and Media Production after passing the specialized programmes,

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority Academy Graduates: Qualified with a cognitive area in addition to a technical scientific specialization in communications, applications and mechanical, electrical and electronic principles.
