In my opinion, this book is worthless, and I am surprised at the positive reviews. There is an unreasonably large gap between amounts, and this makes it of little or no value unless you happen to have a loan of exactly the "right" amount. For example, it jumps from $5,000 to $10,000. Worse (if you are buying a home), it jumps from $50,000 to $100,000. What about the $50,000 that is ignored? This book is going in the trash because it is not worth the cost of postage to send it back.I can recommend two other books of amortization tables that are much more comprehensive (and the print is even more readable)--that is, Barron's Financial Tables for Better Money Management: Mortgage Payments (Solomon, Marshall and Pepper) and Monthly Interest Amortization Tables (Sherman, Contemporary Books).

McGraw-Hill's Interest Amortization Tables, Third Edition This handy little book arrived quickly. It is much easier to get an estimate for payments than using a calculator. I keep one at my house and one in my car and one at the office.

I misplaced the book I had for years and purchased this to replace it. A very concise guide to payments based on percentage rates. I use this reference for any payment plans I have to keep up with long term finances. A great reference book to have.

I ordered this book for a friend. It is exactly what he wanted and it gives him all the information he is looking for. When you want to know how much a house payment will be including principal and interest....just pick up this book. It has it all....

It's not the type of book I'd curl up with on a winter's night or maybe take in the crapper but the info in the book seemed accurate.

These are hard to come by in any stores. It come in handy for those who look at potential properties to buy and sell.
