Students must also be enrolled at least half-time in the summer to qualify for these loans.

Additional Pell Grant Eligibility Students are eligible for additional Pell Grant Eligibility if they meet ALL of the following criteria: 1) Their full Pell grant award disbursed during the 2018-2019 academic year. 2) They are enrolled at

least half-time during the summer session(s) 3) They have not met their Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU). Information on Pell Grant (LEU) is available at

.

Other funding may be available through a PLUS loan or through a private loan, if student are enrolled at least half-time. This funding may be used (1) to supplement the award that is made in response to this application or (2) to serve as a sole source of funding, if this application is denied.

Summer aid requirements:

1. The student's 2018-19 FAFSA must be on file with the Financial Aid Office no later than June 30, 2019.

2. Each student must submit the summer aid request eligibility review form. Distance Learning Students must submit the enrollment form only.

3. Summer aid is contingent on funding availability and is not guaranteed.

4. All students must be enrolled at least half-time per federal guidelines in order to receive loans (i.e., at least 6-credit hours for undergraduates and at least 3-credit hours for graduate students). Different enrollment criteria may apply to other types of aid awarded. Auditing a class does not count toward satisfying enrollment requirements.

5. To receive summer aid, a student must be in a degree-seeking program at Old Dominion University.

6. Summer aid will not be disbursed until the number of credits for which the student has enrolled matches the number of credits listed on the summer aid application. Therefore, students must notify their counselors of changes in enrollment status.

7. The last day to request aid eligibility review for summer 2019 is June 28, 2019. Please allow 2 weeks for processing/review.

8. Although students will be notified of tentative summer eligibility via mail, all applicants are strongly encouraged to view their financial aid information via LEO Online.

9. The award you will receive is tentative. It is based on what you report as your anticipated enrollment. Enrolling in fewer credit hours than anticipated may result in a reduction or cancellation of aid.

10. Do not assume you are receiving financial aid until you have received an aid offer AND you have submitted/completed all documents needed to process your aid. The summer aid offer letter acceptance must be returned to the financial aid office before the summer aid can be disbursed.

11. Students will be notified by mailed letter if ineligible for summer aid.
