IC NEEDS A CCD TEACHER FOR GRADE 6. If anyone is interested please call Kim at 495-5241 ASAP. We need your assistance, to secure our children in the Catholic Church. Remember you must have all the background checks and clearances, and Virtus training done before you can teach.

IC: New kitchen aprons are available to sale in the gathering space of Immaculate Conception Church. These beautiful blue aprons are available for only $10. Please see the hanging sample, take as many as needed, and drop the money off at the parish office in Summerhill, or drop off in the weekly offertory basket and mark the envelope “aprons”.

IC/SJ YOUTH GROUP will take their trip to St. Vincent for Steeler Training Camp on Thursday, August 1.

Information and permission slips are in the gathering space of both churches and deadline to RSVP is today, July 28th.

COMMUNITY YARD SALES in New Germany Friday, August 2nd & Saturday, August 3rd. The ladies court of the local Knights of Columbus will have a Yard Sale in the Bingo Stand on the Grove Grounds. Anyone who has nice yard sale items to donate for this sale, please bring them to the Bingo Stand on the picnic grounds the week of the sale. As usual, the kitchen will be open with food and drinks available.

SJ: We extend to the family & friends of Daniel Podrasky our prayers & support on his passing from here to eternity.

IC PICNIC: Anyone with suggestions for the 2020 July 4th picnic, please attend the wrap up meeting on Wednesday, July 31st at 7 PM in Marian Hall. We need and appreciate your presence and input.

SJ: Our annual Parish Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019. We need help from all parishioners to make it a grand success. If you can volunteer your time on picnic day, please the sign-up sheet is in the gathering space of the church or call Pam at the rectory at 495-5241. Become a Helping Hand! To help defray the cost of operating expenses – check out the bulletin board in the gathering space of the church. Please select a requested item/s and please return all items by placing them in the bins in the gathering space of the church. Items need to be returned by August 15. Thank you for lending a helping hand for our church picnic. If anyone would like to donate a "Gift Card" (restaurants, grocery stores, Sheetz, etc., in the amount of $10, $15, $20, etc.) for our "Gift Certificate" booth, please just drop off at rectory/in collection basket. Tip Seal Booth items are needed. If you have any handmade or other items, please call Violet 495-4084. “Theme Baskets” are needed for our picnic. Money can also be donated and the committee will buy the items to make up the baskets. Just drop the money in the collection basket in a marked envelope. Cooler of Cheer: If anyone has any unopened, store bought bottles of liquor and would like to donate them for the Cooler of Cheer, please bring them to the rectory as soon as possible. Mark your calendar – GOB Making Day is Thursday, August 22nd. We need somebody to chair the Children Game tent.

A PRO-LIFE covered dish picnic will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 6:30 PM at Mark and Andrea Sossong’s home; 1275 Swigle Mountain Rd., Mineral Point. The Gosnell movie will be shown outdoors after the picnic. Please bring your lawn chairs. Please call 659-3637 for more details. All are welcome.

SJ & IC: Thursday, August 15th is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. A holy day of obligation, all must attend Mass either on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 7 PM at SJ or on Thurs., Aug. 15 at 8 AM. At IC Masses will be on Thurs., Aug. 15 at 6:30 AM and 7 PM. ALSO, ON ASSUMPTION Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 7:00 pm, in Forest Hill Middle and Senior High School, PA State Senator Wayne Langerolc, Jr, and PA House Representative Jim Rigby, or one of the administrative assistants, will be present to hear any and all cares and concerns people may have about the feasibility of legalizing recreational marijuana. All church petitions will be presented to them at that time.
