Setting up Your Microsoft Live@EDU Email AccountAs a student at the City of Glasgow College you will be given an email account so that your lecturers and Student Services can contact you on a regular basis. Before you can use your account you will need to set it up. Your lecturer will be able to give you your email account name and the initial password that you will need to log in. Follow these instructions; they only have to be done once:Start your web browser and go to HYPERLINK "" the Windows Live login page appears type in your email address in the box labelled “Windows Live ID” and your initial password in the password box. Click on the “Sign In” button to log into Windows Live.In the next screen you will be asked to create a new password for yourself. Your password should contain a mixture of upper and lower case letters and number. As you type in your password you will see an indicator telling you how secure is your password. You should be aiming to get password strength of “strong”.Enter your initial password, your new password and a copy of your new password. Click on the “Submit” button to continue.After you have updated your password you will be asked to log into Windows Live again this time using your new password:Click on the “Sign in to Windows Live” button to continue.Now sign in with your email address and your new password. Nearly there. Click on the “Hotmail” link at the top of the page and select “Inbox”. The final stage in this process is to select the time zone that you live in. From the list of available time zones select “Greenwich Mean Time” and click on the “Ok” button.Congratulations, your account is now active. In future, when you log in to your email account you should see the screen below. ................
