Fatlossity Weight Loss Smoothies

By incorporating this list of weight loss smoothies you will allow your body to get the proper nutrients it needs to take your success to the next level.

In addition to the recipes laid out below you can also add in 5 grams of fiber, like psyllium husks powder, or benefiber, to your smoothies to add to satiety and overall health.

Here other elements you may enjoy adding to your shakes:

• Ground flax seed

• Flax oil (1 tsp-tbsp)

• No Sugar, Low Fat Greek Yogurt (1 tbsp)

• Extra ice (to make the smoothies thicker)

• Less ice (makes them cold, but more watery)

• No ice (just add cold water and shake)

• Extra protein powder (I suggest 1 sc for most people, which is equal to about 20-25 grams), but some people will need slightly more depending on their calorie requirements.

I suggest using whey protein isolate since it is lactose free and the easiest and most readily absorbed of all protein powders. However, if you are allergic to dairy you can substitute soy or rice protein powders. Just make sure these varieties are fortified with a complete amino acid spectrum, so that they will be able to be used by your body in the proper way. Stephen Cabral's 10 Ten Weight Loss Smoothies

Mint Chocolate

I'm a big fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream, so this smoothie is one of my absolute favorites. I add a lot of ice and make it thick like a frappe!

1 scoop chocolate protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

Drop of mint extract

Peanut Butter Cup

I'm also a little biased to this smoothie and I highly recommend trying this one out…

1 scoop chocolate protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 tbsp of peanut butter (or choose almond or cashew butter)

Chocolate Mocha

Okay, this is yet another one of my favorites! When I was first experimenting with smoothie flavors for myself many years ago, I thought about combining my morning coffee with my breakfast protein shake… what I came up with is this great tasting recipe. If you can't live without your morning jolt, you need to combine the best of both worlds with this flavorful smoothie.

1 scoop chocolate protein power

4-8oz iced coffee (decaf or regular – put a pre-made batch in the refrigerator the night before)

0-4oz water (depending on how thick you want your Chocolate Mocha)

1 cup ice

* optional - add a drop of mint extract for a Chocolate Mint Mocha!

* optional – add a small handful of espresso beans into your blender instead of

actual iced coffee – this adds quite the kick!

Black & White

Here's a twist on the old school black & white ice cream frappe

½ scoop chocolate protein power

½ scoop vanilla protein powder

8oz water

1 cup ice

* optional drop of vanilla extract

Chocolate Covered Strawberry – Phase 2

Why not take one of your favorite desserts and turn it into a tasty shake?

1 scoop chocolate protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 cup frozen strawberries

* optional – squirt sugar free chocolate syrup along the sides of your smoothie glass before you pour in your shake. It tastes and looks cool all at the same time.

Strawberry Banana Swirl – Phase 2

Why not take one of your favorite desserts and turn it into a tasty shake?

1 scoop strawberry or vanilla protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 cup frozen strawberries

½ of a banana

* optional – squirt sugar free chocolate syrup along the sides of your smoothie glass before you pour in your shake. It tastes and looks cool all at the same time.

Antioxidant Berry Blast – Phase 2

If you love fruit smoothies then this is the shake for you!

1 scoop strawberry or vanilla protein powder

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 cup frozen mixed berries

Blueberry Overload – Phase 2

We all know how good blueberries are for us and now you have any easy way to get a serving or two while adding in your protein requirement for lasting energy.

1 scoop vanilla protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 cup frozen blueberries

High Fiber Cleanse – Phase 2

If you have trouble losing weight it may be from more than just excess calories and insufficient exercise. You need to make sure that you are absorbing the maximum of nutrients from your foods and not reabsorbing toxins back into your body.

1 scoop vanilla or strawberry protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 cup frozen berries

1 tbsp fiber (psyllium husks powder)

1 tsp flax oil

Breakfast of Champions – Phase 2

If you find yourself always on the run and needing a little something more out of your breakfast smoothie than you may want to give this hearty meal a try.

1 scoop chocolate or vanilla or strawberry protein power

8oz water

1 cup ice

1 cup frozen berries

1 cup whole oats (like the old fashion ones you cook to make oatmeal)

* optional - 1 tsp flax oil

I hope you enjoy some of my favorite weight loss smoothie recipes and also feel free to play with the ingredients a little to adjust to your specific tastes.

You'll find in time that adding one or two shakes in per day will get you to your goals faster than you thought possible…

The reason?

You're now substituting complete, balanced amino acid filled proteins with tons of nutrients in place of your old cereals, bagels, muffins and other processed foods. This alone will relax the inflammation within your body and allow you to begin to feel healthy and reenergized again. Once your body receives the proper fuel you'll be able to complete your day's activities and workouts with more intensity and the results will speak for themself.

Start by adding one in for breakfast or directly after your morning workout. Then, if you feel comfortable you can add another one in later in the afternoon or directly after a later in the day workout.

I wish much success and happiness along the way!

Committed to your success,
