Administrative History

The Office of Public Relations is responsible for such things as news releases and publications, it has grown to become a critical component of the University.

Most of these records reflect the tenure of Alvo E. Albini as director of the Office of Public Relations from 1967 to 1983. Albini oversaw publicity for such events as Loyola's year-long centennial anniversary, its 10-year $180 million capital campaign, and groundbreakings, open houses, and dedications of the Loyola Medical Center, Cudahy Library addition, Flanner Science Hall, Maguire Hall, and Gentile Center.
