Services sought must be provided by a clinical laboratory that is College of American Pathologist (CAP) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) accredited and located within a 20 mile radius of the VA Palo Alto laboratory located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA, 94304. The laboratory must provide 24 hour a day, 365 days a year courier service. Specimens must be picked up by a courier from the VA Palo Alto laboratory at the address above within 30 minutes of the call/order and returned to the testing laboratory within 30 minutes of leaving the VA Palo Alto laboratory. This is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and shall not obligate the Government to award a contract.? Requests for a solicitation shall not receive a response.? Responses to this sources sought announcement shall be in writing. Pathologists must have graduated from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy and completed a residency or fellowship in pathology, be Clinical or Anatomic Pathology board certified and must possess a valid license to practice clinical reference laboratory services from a United States (U.S.) jurisdiction.The laboratory Director shall be a licensed American Board of Pathology certified pathologist.Responses to this notice are strictly for market research purposes and will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions.? This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.?
