Summary: Responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting data from various sources

(MCIF, Data Warehouse, Department Data, External Sources, etc.) to inform decision making and to

measure results of marketing and sales initiatives. Serves as the subject matter expert for the Marketing

Customer Information File (MCIF), the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and similar

systems within the Credit Union. Serves as the subject matter expert for the Credit Union¡¯s member and

market research programs. Manages research projects and prepares reports based on primary and

secondary research. Completes return on investment analysis for initiatives and recommends

modifications based upon that analysis. Monitors the external environment with regard to competitor

offerings and prepares analysis and recommendations for new products and services based on those

offerings.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

? Serves as the subject matter expert for the credit union¡¯s Marketing Customer Information File

(MCIF), the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other Marketing related

software systems. Ensures effective utilization of the systems.

? Leverages data and research to guide programs, target promotions and analyze results.

? Coordinates and/or conducts member and market research. Makes recommendations based on

the research results.

? Provides regular and ongoing reports to the Marketing Manager regarding the effectiveness of

marketing programs and activities. Conducts cost/benefit projections related to marketing

expenditures and provides Return on Investment numbers for all Marketing expenditures.

? Gathers and validates information from systems and departments (i.e. branch sales tracking)

and reports results to the Marketing Manager or other stakeholders within the credit union.

? Establishes an ongoing methodology for monitoring the competition and reports the

information to the organizational stakeholders. Makes recommendations based on those

findings.

? Researches and recommends new products or services. Monitors and reports the penetration

of current products identifying trends and projections for future product penetration.

? Conducts self in a manner that demonstrates alignment with MSGCU Values (Trust,

Engagement, Excellence, Relationships, and Financial Strength), consistent engagement with

members and commitment to credit union initiatives, and assists colleagues in other

departments and branch offices as needed.

Essential Preparation and Training:

? Bachelor¡¯s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field or closely related

equivalent experience

? At least 5 years of experience in a Marketing Analyst role

Financial services experience preferred

Experience administering an MCIF and/or CRM preferred

Essential Skills and Abilities:

? Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to draw conclusions and prepare

recommendations based on member and market data and research reports.

? Hands-on experience managing and preparing reports from MCIF or CRM systems.

? Strong written and verbal communications skills.

? Advanced Excel skills, proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and other Microsoft Office

applications.

? Ability to organize information in a useful and meaningful manner in order to inform effective

and efficient decision making
