SSR Journal Entry #4 - Conflict
After Reading, think about the different types of conflict that we studied during the first two weeks.
List at least two to three types of conflict in your novel and explain the conflict. Remember, rarely is there just one type of conflict! There might be multiple examples of the same type of conflict (i.e. 2 Man vs. Man)
Example: Frankenstein
Man vs. Man - Victor Frankenstein is chasing his monster all over the planet after the monster murders his wife.
Man vs. Society- the monster has to run away from everybody and everything because people cannot accept him for what/who he is
Man vs. Self - Victor decides to destroy the female creature that he promises to "build" for his monster because he thinks that it would be bad for humanity.
Man vs. Nature - While chasing the monster around the earth, Victor gets lost and stranded on a ice berg in the Arctic Circle
Man vs. Man - while at college, Victor disagrees with one of his professors that a person cannot create life from dead objects
The list can go on and on and on... but you have to do at least two examples of conflict in YOUR story.
