Final Assessment

The following three-part assessment provides opportunities to apply Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching—Component 2d: Managing Student Behavior. You may either:

● Download this worksheet and type directly on it, or

● Print, complete, scan, and submit it.

After all parts are complete, upload onto the Assessments tab under Final Assessment 1.4.

Part 1: Establishing Strategies for Positive and Negative Behavior Reinforcement for Attention-Seeking Students

Directions: Using content from the eBook section entitled Student engagement and classroom management, create a list in the table below of four positive and four withholding behavioral reinforcement strategies to address attention-seeking students. Responses should include a reinforcer as well as the specific behavior. An example of each is provided.

Part 2: Developing Classroom Routines

Directions: Pick a situation from the Situation Bank below and write a short description of what this would look like in your classroom in the first column. Then, record and refine procedures surrounding each situation that you currently use in your classroom or develop new ones. It may be helpful to think of a scenario to accompany your situation. Be concise. An example is provided.
