This event is a completely anonymous testing day for both HIV and Hepatitis C. Everyone is

welcome to attend. In addition, the Long Island Minority AIDS Coalition also participates in free

needle exchange, so those in need of syringes (i.e., diabetics) are allowed to get them through

our agency at no cost.

This year's theme, Getting to Zero through a Village United for the Cause, is exactly what we

hope to achieve with this year's planning and programing: bridging agencies and communities

together in the spirit of unity for the common cause of raising awareness, mobilizing

communities, and celebrating the diversity and resilience of the communities we love and

serve.

WAD is especially important in Harlem where the global community who are the most disproportionately affected resides. Our program will bring together some of the most prominent experts in the field, local and nationally known artists & agencies, community stakeholders, patients and community members.
