Light a deya

Clasp hands and say this mantra:

Ring bell and say this Mantra….ITI GHANTAM NAADAM KRITWA.

Say Mantra and do the following :

( Sip water from right hand ) SWAAHA

( Sip water from right hand) SWAAHA

Pour a spoon of water on your right hand palm and let it run down to the ground passing through the tip of your fingers . NAMAHA

Pass right hand fingers over mouth, from right hand side. NAMAHA

Rub palms with right palm on top NAMAHA

Rub palms with left palm on top . NAMAHA

Pour a spoon of water on your right palm, and let it run to the ground passing through the tip of your fingers. NAMAHA

Clasp hands ( like in prayer ) NAMAHA

Touch right knee with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch left knee with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch chin with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch under nose with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch right side of nostril with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch left side of nostril with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch right eye with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch left eye with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch right ear with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch left ear with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch stomach & navel with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch chest & heart with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch the head with the right hand NAMAHA

Touch right shoulder with right hand. NAMAHA

Touch left shoulder with right hand. NAMAHA

Using right hand, pull in middle finger and touch right side of nose with thumb and index finger and left side with small and ring finger. Support right hand by putting left hand palm under elbow of right hand and take a breath and say this Mantra.

Cover right ear with right hand and say this Mantra

Take a flower, put a few grains of yellow rice and a drop of water and say this Mantra:

Put in Name of year, sun phase, season, month, fortnight Tithi . Your Name, Date of Birth, Rasinaam Nakshatra, Gotra where told to do so and say this Sankalp:

SANKALPAM SAMARPAYAMI

Take a flower, put a few grains of rice, a drop of water and say this Mantra:

(Call name / s of deities for whom puja / s are being done) .

Using ring finger if right hand touch hardi and touch 4 sides of Kalsa starting from the southern side clockwise. Do the same for the Kum-Kum and sindoor. Place a little hardi and a few grains of rice into Kalsa with water. (Say this mantra while doing the above)

(Say this pray three (3) times)

Place a flower upside down into the Kalsa mouth cover the Kalsa mouth with your right palm and say the following Mantra:

Dip the flower into the water in the kalsa and sprinkle on all Pooja items saying this mantra:

Dip flower in water and sprinkle murti and pictures saying this Mantra:

Dip flower in water and sprinkle yourself saying this Mantra:

Sprinkle whole place with water from flower, by sprinkling water in a circle around your head.

Put flowers near murti or bedi KALASHAM SAMARPAYAMI

Put palms together in form of praying and say this Mantra:

Offer incense fumes to the deity, essence and say this Mantra:

Offer three wick light to deity and say this Mantra: (light with three wicks)

EKARTI DEEPAM DARSHAYAMI

Hold container of three wicks in left hand, place flower and rice and drop of water at the end of container in left hand and fan flames of three wicks with palm of right hand towards deity and all other murti and pictures. At end offer two drops of water on flower.

Touch flame with hand and touch both of your eyes saying this Mantra: (name of deity)

DUPA DEEPA AANANTARAM ARCHAMANIYEEYAM SAMARPAYAMI

Ataha Naïvedyam

Place in plate with parsad two paan leaves, two sooparees, flowers, rice, water and toolsie leaves. Hold plate up. Touch plate with parsad to your head and heart then to the feet of the deity or bedi three times saying this Mantra: Then place plate in front of deity. (name of deity)……

Take a little water in your right hand and circle your hand with the water clockwise around the plate with the parsad three times. Then let the water fall through the tip of your fingers on the outside of the plate and say this prayer:

Offer lighted camphor (Karpoor) in container to the deity – waving it from left to right at the base of the deity saying this Mantra , doing arti.

Hold container with burning camphor in left hand, place flowers, rice and water at the base of container in left hand, fan flame with right palm towards deity saying this Mantra:
