CLASS CODE: 6544 PAY GRADE: 415 CLASS TITLE: MOBILE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE REPRESENTATIVE - SES ALLOCATION FACTOR(S) This is work on a statewide basis advising field personnel of mobile equipment repairs needed before warranties expire; facilitating the resolution of maintenance problems with automobile dealers and manufacturers' regional representatives; authorizing purchase orders for major repairs; reviewing mobile equipment invoices before payments; and performing cost analysis studies to determine the cost of operating vehicles.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: (Note: The examples of work as listed in this class specification are not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. The omission of specific statements does not preclude management from assigning specific duties not listed herein if such duties are a logical assignment to the position. Serves as liaison between the agency and automobile dealers and manufacturers' field representatives in matters relating to car warranties and repairs.Authorizes purchase orders for major repairs.Reviews invoices before they are approved for payment.Ensures that automobiles are being serviced at regular intervals as specified in warranties.Maintains related clerical records.Performs cost analysis studies to determine various operating cost on vehicles.Recommends vehicles to be traded through the use of fiscal records and prepares necessary forms related pletes bid forms, attends bid openings, obtains information on successful bidders, and prepares requisitions for purchase orders.Coordinates the delivery as required.Performs related work as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Note: The knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) identified in this class specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this class.
