European Unit – Culminating Task

Backpacking Around Europe

I’ve got good news, bad news, and great news for you. The good news is you’ve just discovered a long lost uncle who lived in Europe. The bad news is you found out about this because he is recently deceased, and the executors of his estate have contacted you. The great news is he has left you the equivalent of $5,000 with the stipulation that you use the money to tour Europe this summer.

The details:

- pick 4 European cities for to visit. Provide a rational of why you chose these cities. (7-10 trip)

- pick 3 sites/activities that you would like to see/do in each city

- find 2 restaurants in each city and provide a sample meal with prices

- for 2 of the cities, provide a labeled city map showing the locations of the hotel/hostel, restaurant, train station, and sites

- on a map of Europe, plan out the route you are going to take to each of the 4 cities, and colour in each country you are visiting in different colours

- find a flight to and from a destination in Europe from Toronto

discuss transportation methods/options from city to city

- find out how much accommodations cost in each city

- provide a detailed breakdown of the costs of the trip, while adhering to the overall budget
