In addition, 8th grade students will be taking the Science test. Testing will be done online, with the 8th grade tests taking place 21-28. The 7th grade will test April 18-20; 6th grade will test April 12 & 13. Please begin visiting with your student about the importance of doing their best on these tests, and try to schedule any appointments for your student accordingly. Also, Algebra EOC testing for 8th graders will take place during this time. EIGHTH GRADE HONOR ASSEMBLYThe 8th Grade Honor Assembly will be held on the last day of school, May 18, at 8:30 a.m. Students are encouraged to follow a few basic guidelines for this assembly: Girls’ dresses – no strapless dresses, no spaghetti straps, cutouts in the dress, backless dresses, or dresses that plunge in the front. Dresses and skirts should be of an appropriate length. “Prom dresses” are not appropriate for this event. Girls are NOT required to wear a dress … a skirt and top, slacks and top, etc., are all appropriate. We would prefer that all students avoid wearing jeans. For boys, dress shirts are preferred over t-shirts. Jackets are fine, but not necessary. We do NOT expect students to have to purchase something new to wear to this event. We are confident that every student has suitable attire in his/her closet already. PLEASE NOTE – Each 8th grade student will receive TWO WRISTBANDS for guests to attend the Honor Assembly. ONLY those individuals wearing a wristband will be allowed into the school to attend the assembly. This is due to the number of visitors who typically attend this event, and the number of occupants allowed in the gym due to fire code. Wristbands will be distributed to students on Friday, May 12. If parents prefer not to have wristbands sent with their student, they may pick the wristbands up in the school office on May 10-11. The person picking up wristbands must sign for them.3766185103505SUMMER SCHOOL:MAY 30 – JUNE 23Open enrollment – forms available in the main office; due by April 14.00SUMMER SCHOOL:MAY 30 – JUNE 23Open enrollment – forms available in the main office; due by April 14.MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT!Our students will be busy, showing off their musical talents!
