All MARC weekend service trains (noted with a next to the train number) offer the MARC Bike Car, which permits passengers to bring full size, non-collapsible bikes on the train. Bike space is unreserved and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Only two wheeled bicycles and two wheeled children's bicycles (with or without training wheels) are allowed on board; Fuel-powered engines (gasoline, diesel, ethanol, etc.) are prohibited. Tow-behind trailers are also prohibited. In the event the bike car is not available, the standard MARC bicycle policy (folding bikes only) will apply. Please note the following guidelines for using the MARC Bike Car:

HOLIDAY SERVICE:

There will be no Penn Line service on Memorial, Labor, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Days. The Penn Line will operate on a Saturday schedule on July 4th and will operate on the "R" schedule on Columbus Day, Veterans' Day Observed (Nov. 12), and the day after Thanksgiving (Nov. 23).

MARC PASSENGER CODE OF CONDUCT

? The conductor is in charge of the train. Follow his or her instructions while riding any MARC train. Please inform the conductor of any service problems you may experience or if you need assistance prior to arriving at your destination.

? Please do not stand in the aisles when seats are available. Standing is never permitted on stairs or in vestibules. Conductors will direct standing passengers to seats when available.

? Passengers must have tickets out for inspection or collection by any authorized MARC representative. Tickets may be inspected more than once during a trip.

? For your safety, passengers must be on the proper platform prior to the train's arrival. Passengers who cross in front of, or behind the train while it is at the station will be denied boarding.

? Improper fare, improper conduct, intoxication, or offensive actions will not be tolerated. Passengers displaying any of these behaviors will not be transported, and will be asked to leave the train.

? Please listen to announcements as they are made for your safety and convenience. Not all doors open at every station. Listen for announcements regarding which doors will open.

? No seats are reserved on MARC trains. Please do not inconvenience others by blocking or holding seats with personal items. Please do not place your feet on the seats.

? On most trains, Car 1 (the first car behind the locomotive) is the Quiet Commute Car. This car is intended to have a library-like atmosphere, with no electronic devices or loud conversations. The Quiet Commute Car is to be self-regulated by passengers, not enforced by the conductor.

Arrival times in Baltimore at 7:35 AM, BWI at 7:48 AM, New Carrollton at 8:07 AM, and Washington at 8:22 AM.

Q - Trains operate with a "Quiet Commute" car. No cell phones, electronic devices that make noise or loud conversations. We request a library-like atmosphere in the "Quiet Commute" car. This car is adjacent to the locomotive.

r - Train stops at this location only to receive passengers.

Y Amtrak 85 will now permit passengers to remain on the train to Washington, just like Amtrak 151 does in the morning. Amtrak Train 85 - Travel is restricted to Monthly/Weekly ticket holders boarding at the ABERDEEN STATION ONLY. Boarding is NOT permitted at Baltimore, BWI, and New Carrollton, discharge only at those locations. Arrival times in Penn 5:45 PM, BWI 6:01 PM, New Carrollton 6:15 PM, and Union 6:28 PM.

R - ONLY trains designated with an R at the top of the column will operate when limited service conditions or special circumstances warrant. On days of heavy snowfall or other severe weather, MARC will operate this special schedule. Additional stops marked with an R will be made when this schedule is in effect.

MARC tickets are NOT valid on Amtrak trains for travel entirely between Baltimore and Washington. MARC one-way tickets are NEVER valid on Amtrak trains. Connecting Services

Many other transit agencies provide connecting bus service that stops at or near Penn Line Stations.

New Carrollton ? Station is a hub for Washington Metrobus system. Numerous routes serve locations in Prince Georges and Montgomery County.

Seabrook and Bowie State University ? Washington Metrobus B27 provides service between New Carrollton Metro/MARC station and Seabrook and Bowie State University.

Odenton ? Regional Transportation Authority Routes 202 (Fort Meade main gate, Arundel Mills Mall and intermediate stops), 203 (Piney Orchard neighborhood shuttle), and 504 (service to Savage Camden Line station).

BWI Airport Rail Station ? Free shuttle bus service to the airport every 15 minutes. Most hotels near the airport provide courtesy on-call shuttle service.

Regional Transportation Authority Route 501/Silver. Service between BWI Airport Rail Station, Arundel Mills Mall, Dorsey MARC Station, and Columbia.

MDOT MTA LocalLink 75, service north to Patapsco and south to Arundel Mills Mall; Commuter Bus Route 201, service to Georgia Avenue Park-and-Ride (Georgia Avenue and MD 200/Inter County Connector in Montgomery County) and Gaithersburg. mta.

provides three routes serving Union Station. Please note that MARC passes are not honored on the DC Circulator; the fare is $1.00, exact change only.

Amtrak will be conducting trackwork on the middle track between Odenton and West Baltimore until mid-November. While this will not directly impact MARC trains, Amtrak trains may be delayed which may as a result cause delays to MARC.
