undergraduate international student application checklist (F-1)

Over 490 international students from more than 77 countries enjoy the vibrant community on campus. Each year at the end of March, UL Lafayette hosts an International Week where many cultures are celebrated through events, entertainment,

an International Dinner and Ball, and the Miss International Pageant.

Apply online at louisiana.edu/apply. Application deadlines are June 1st for the fall semester, October 1st for the Spring semester, and March 1st for the summer semester.

Pay the $25 application fee online or via money order. Applications will not be processed without payment of fees.

Submit all official transcripts from ALL secondary schools, colleges or universities attended. Transcripts must be provided in both the original language written, as well as an official translated copy. Transcripts from U.S. institutions can be sent via eScript to etranscripts@louisiana.edu.

Provide official copies of TOEFL, IELTS, DUO, SAT, or ACT scores as proof of English proficiency. Test scores must be sent directly from the testing center.

Provide evidence of adequate financial resources as stated on the Confidential Financial Information Form (F-1). A bank statement matching the amount on the form must be provided.

Complete the Chronological Record of Education Form through the present year.

Complete and submit Proof of immunization Form. Immunization records may be attached to the form.

Scan and send a copy of your passport to intladmissions@louisiana.edu. This ensures that your I-20 will be issued correctly. If you are a "legacy student," (child of a UL/USL graduate) provide a copy of your birth certificate as well.

Once admitted, obtain a visa by following the instructions in the admissions packet.
