Be close by to help if needed. If the bickering continues, acknowledge both children’s feelings and what both of them want.Have the kids help you to come up with the solution to the problem. You may need to assist them in implementing the solution by setting a timer for turn taking. If kids are not able to come up with a solution, it may be necessary to remove the object. When you are ready to give them another chance, talk about problem solving prior to returning the object.Make sure to praise them when they are playing together nicely. “I like how you two are taking turns and sharing.”3619500214630Make sure to make special time for each child individually to spend with significant adults.
