A bus will take you to the KSC Visitors Center for a visit back to the Saturn V rocket that took astronauts to the moon, the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and the bright future as we return to astronaut launching to space from Florida. Remodeled in 2017, the center houses five educational exhibits including Marine Drug Discovery, Marine Mammal Research & Conservation, Aquaculture & Stock Enhancement, Marine Ecosystem Health and Ocean Engineering. Provided is interpretive tour. The center also features a video theater, aquaria relevant to research topics, interactive displays, a touch tank, gift shop and student information station. Lunch on your own at a local restaurant. Then visit to retro McLarty Treasure Museum in Sebastian, FL. This is a small center at the site of the 1715 hurricane that wrecked Spanish Treasure Fleet and the camp established to recover some of the treasure. A historic site located on the Atlantic Ocean. Cost includes admission to McLarty and donation to HBOI.
