The role requires a flexible and pro-active attitude as the successful candidate will work across the whole body of work, marketing to both local audiences and working further afield to support and drive awareness in our tour venue locations.The Marketing Officer will work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure the delivery of marketing activity aimed at maximising income through ticket sales, developing audiences, raising wider awareness of the Opera North brand and its activities, and contributing to the growth and development of the Company.Duties and responsibilitiesWorking with Marketing colleagues to develop strategies which maximise the promotion of Opera North productions, activities and raise awareness of the Opera North brand.Creating and implementing detailed and intelligent marketing plans that are focussed on achieving campaign objectives within the allotted budget. Tracking, analysing and continually improving upon paid digital marketing campaigns to build online engagement.Developing a proactive approach towards measuring actual against budgeted sales, and taking early and decisive actions to improve any poor sales performance. Reporting on campaign statistics on an ongoing basis and keep colleagues informed of progress. Evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns and strive to continuously improve results. Producing, analysing and reporting on sales data for seasons and productions.Writing influential and fluent copy for both print and digital communications aimed at specific audience groups. Participating in arrangements for performance review and appraisal.Ensuring that professional skills are regularly updated through participation in learning and development activities.TERMS AND CONDITIONSSalary range:c. ?19,000-?22,000 per annum dependent on experienceHours of work: 35 hours per week, usual office hours of 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., Mon-Fri with an hour unpaid for lunch, and occasional evening or weekend workType of contract:Full time, permanentNormal place of work:Opera North, Premier House, New Briggate, LeedsNotice:Two months after successful completion of six month probationary periodHolidays: 33 days, including 8 statutory holidays per yearPension:Opera North will automatically enrol you into the company pension scheme upon appointment and after 3 months’ service will contribute equivalent to 5.5% of your basic pay, should you meet the current legislative criteria. You will be required to make a personal contribution of 2.5% of your basic pay. We reserve the right to make future changes to our pension arrangements. ................
