Job Title – Sales and Marketing Assistant

Reporting to – Marketing Manager

Rate of Pay - £16,926.00

Hours – 35 hours per week

Date – Revised April 2019

General Summary

We are looking for a driven and motivated individual to join the Sales and Marketing Department as Sales and Marketing Assistant. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with strong customer service, sales, administrational, analytical and digital marketing skills across a range of social media platforms. You should be able to use your own initiative to work both independently and as part of a small team.

Main Duties

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working within the Sales and Marketing team the role will include:

Sales:

Deal with incoming general customer enquiries and group and education bookings and input into the in-house booking system.

Assist with the administration of the groups and travel trade booking processes through The Beatles Story’s in-house booking system.

Assist with management reporting and analysis of sales performance.

Pro-actively source new customers and maximise on on-site sales opportunities including admissions, retail, café and education.

Pro-actively engage with key local businesses, hoteliers, attractions and affiliates to organise fam visits to increase co-promotional sales and activities.

Provide cover for the Sales Team members during meetings, absence and holidays.

Marketing:

Assist with the digital marketing strategy and planning.

Assist with CRM database management.

Research and create engaging content for PR, social media, web and digital aimed at specific B2B and B2C target audiences including international visitors.

Produce high quality, engaging and brand consistent images for digital and social media platforms.

Identify trends to help optimise social media presence and brainstorm new ideas to grow awareness and engagement.

Research content relevant to our target audiences and engage with key influencers.

Assist with media requests and press visits.

Develop an image library for marketing and promotional purposes, ensuring copyright and license restrictions are adhered to and communicated effectively to all stakeholders.

Provide cover for the Marketing Team members during holidays, absence and meetings.

To carry out any other duties which naturally fall within the reasonable expectations of the role.
