COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER (ONE YEAR FIXED TERM)JOB DESCRIPTION/ROLE PROFILEKey objectivesDelivery of a creative and effective communication, information and marketing strategy in support of the Miscarriage Association’s (M.A.’s) vision: Everyone affected by pregnancy loss gets the care, support and information that’s right for them. DurationOne year fixed term maternity cover, with the possibility of further work.Job descriptionLead on the delivery of the M.A.’s communication plans and activities, via print, online, digital, social media, and broadcast communications. Produce accurate, appropriate and sensitive copy for a range of on and offline communications and key publications.Explore innovative and creative ways of communicating with key audiences, to include service users, followers, supporters and healthcare professionals.Continue to drive online traffic to the M.A.’s website and social media accounts, making suggestions for improvement as required. Keep the website up to date and relevant: write and add new content and add personal stories.Prepare releases and statements in association with the National Director and/or Trustees; identify media volunteers for media requests and coordinate their participation; and maintain and review the database of media volunteers and case studies.Plan and implement the M.A.’s involvement during Baby Loss Awareness Week (held annually, 9-15 October), including: planning activities and online/offline content, collaboration with other baby loss charities involved in the week, reviewing and evaluating the week.Work alongside the M.A.’s Digital Marketing Consultant whose responsibilities will include reporting from Google Analytics, reviewing and maintaining the M.A.’s Google Ads account, reviewing website content, some social media content and activities during Baby Loss Awareness Week. Review new online platforms and trends and keep the M.A. at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.Salary, hours, locationSalary: ?15,041 pro rata (?26,500 FTE)Hours: 21 per week (not including lunch break).
