Work alongside the Executive Director of Engagement and Advancement and the Director of Communications and Marketing on key internal communications campaigns across the University. Provide support and advice for senior executive officers regarding communications and ensure that they are visible to staff, students and stakeholders through a range of channels. Responsible for the development of a University-wide communications programme for students regarding the testing programme, in conjunction with other professional services where relevant. Provide professional leadership to the University regarding project communications, including advice on relevant channels, messaging and content. Responsible for the active management and monitoring of key channels as agreed with the Associate Director Corporate Communications.To matrix manage and lead other communications colleagues (including oversight and project management of other professionally qualified staff) and ensure that arrangements are made for the appropriate personal development and role related training of staff where appropriate.Key accountabilities/primary responsibilities% TimeDevelop, implement and manage the University COVID-19 Testing Programme communications strategy for the University to ensure a consistent approach to communications including the presentation of key messages across the University; ensuring that staff, students and stakeholders receive timely, relevant communications that have a measureable impact. Ensure that all necessary stakeholders, across the University, are involved at key points in elements of key campaigns and the development of key channels and planning.15 %Take a leading role on communications campaigns around the University COVID-19 Testing Programme including matters of a particularly complex, sensitive or strategic nature.15 %Lead the development of key communications channels as agreed with the Associate Director Corporate Communications, including social media and collateral. Advise colleagues on the development of other contemporary corporate channels in support of the University COVID-19 Testing Programme strategy.15 %Develop, implement and manage a University COVID-19 Testing Programme student communications strategy for the University to ensure that the student community receives timely, relevant communications that have a measureable impact. Ensure that all necessary stakeholders, across the University, are involved at key points in elements of key campaigns and the development of key channels and planning.15 %Develop a matrix of opportunities for key stakeholders to engage with staff, students and stakeholder groups. This will include, for example, all-staff emails, open meetings by cohort and theme as well as other ad-hoc opportunities.10%Responsible for the management of all University COVID-19 Testing Programme communications activity in support of key initiatives including planning. Lead on the delivery of feedback from target audiences and monitor effectiveness and reach within the target audience.
