JOB TITLE:Marketing and Graphic Design SpecialistDEPARTMENT: Marketing FLSA: ExemptREPORTS TO: Marketing ManagerSUMMARYThis full-time position has key responsibility for creative artwork, content, and growth of PPG Paints Arena’s website and social media platforms. In addition, this role supervises the part-time Tour Guide staff and participates in the oversight and facilitation of media relations, publicity, and promotions for over 120 arena events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Create all graphic artwork needed for events, including website, social media and distributing those images to the appropriate parties.Develop and maintain website content, to include scheduling events for the homepage to promote ticket sales, and adding new events.Lead and create email marketing campaigns and edit content to ensure a positive image on all social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.Directly lead a team of part-time Tour Guide staff including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and providing feedback on performance.Create and execute contests and entry forms on the website, social media, Formstack and Text to Win platforms.Work with public relations contacts from promoting organizations to maximize exposure of upcoming events through social media outlets.Establish and implement policies for ticket donations and other charity outreach programs.Greet and escort media per the instructions of the show management during events.Oversee preparation of email newsletters and company announcements.QUALIFICATIONS:BA in Graphic design or Marketing2-4 years of work related experienceProven ability producing designs for various types of media (website, social, print)Demonstrated proficiency in web design and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)Strong knowledge of current social media platforms and trendsExtremely detail oriented and adherence to strict file structure guidelines. Follow print specifications and digital requirements for constructing files.Effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and oral communications, comfortable with public speaking, strong organizational skillsPrior experience leading, mentoring, or coaching teams preferredAbility to work a flexible schedule as needed, including weekends, evenings, and holidaysSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises the Tour Guide staff in the Marketing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with AEGs policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
