Day 0

Subject: Thanks for visiting

Hi {!firstname_fix}

Thanks for visiting .

By now you've probably heard about how we made US$250,000 in our

first 12 months in our on-line businesses. And yes, we still pinch

ourselves every day, because it happened so quickly!

If you're interested in doing something similar we will be sending

out some more detailed info over the next few days to help you get

underway. If this is not of interest to you, please click on the

link at the bottom of this email and you'll never hear from us

again!

If you have some specific questions, please email us at

info@.

Talk soon

Daryl and Andrew Grant

PS - If you would like some extra hand-holding while you set up

your internet business, then you may be interested in our mentoring

program. We put this together because we've had so many people ask

if we would help them to do what we've done.

The mentoring program is a hold-your-hand, step-by-step program

that helps you to build an on-line business.

It's the sort of program we wish we'd had had back at the beginning

because believe me, we knew practically nothing about computers when

we started! We've also done our best to make it great value - it's

just $49 a month. For that you get weekly eclasses (step-by-step),

as well as access to us to discuss your progress, and so we can

give you some guidance. Please go to

to find out more about our

mentoring program, or to join up.

Cheers

Day 1

Subject: Here’s a guided tour of our internet business

Hi {!firstname_fix}

Daryl Grant here. I hope you enjoyed our website

. Are you inspired now to do the same thing?

I hope so. I remember how excited I was when I first learned about

how to sell information products on the internet.

But I also remember being a bit confused about where to start, and

how all the bits fit together. So I thought I'd do something to

help you out. I'm going to give you a "guided tour" of our internet

business.

The "tour" uses a cool bit of software called Camtasia, which

allows you to look at my computer screen. I'm going to show you our

websites that we sell information products from. But more

importantly than that, I'm also going to show you how much money we

make! I'll take you inside our accounts, so you can see exactly how

much we've made today, this week, this month, this year, last year...!

Why would I do this? Because I've seen how people get motivated and

excited about doing it for themselves, when I show them this

information. And I get a real kick out of helping people to succeed

the way we have on-line.

As a mother of two, I know how great it feels now to be able to

spend time with my kids. It's heaps better than what I used to do -

working nine to five (or usually much more!) and being too tired

and cranky to really enjoy the kids when I finally got home.

So enjoy. Get motivated. And if you would like some extra help with

getting your on-line business going, please click the link below to find

out more about how we can help you.

Day 3

Subject: Have you found a good ebook topic yet? I can help

Hi {!firstname_fix}

It's Daryl here again.

Well, I've had a really mixed response to my last email - the one

with the "guided tour of our internet business". While some people

loved it, some people were quite upset that they couldn't access it

- mainly because of slow internet connections. Ah well - I'll keep

this one simple (but very good value I hope!).

Now I remember when I was first shown the concept that you've seen

at . My mind was going at about a million

miles an hour trying to figure out what topic I should start with!

If that's happening to you, here's some information that can help...

When you're looking for an ebook topic, what you're after is "an

inch wide, mile deep niche". In other words, you're after a very

specific topic that a defined group of people are very passionate

about.

For example think about Star Trek fans - there are lots of Trekkies

around the world, but the whole thing is based around one concept

created by Gene Roddenberry.

The problem is, it can be hard to find these niches.

Sitting down with a blank piece of paper and some spare time is

unlikely to uncover them. (Although adding a good bottle of red can

help!!).

You need to be constantly looking for ideas and opportunities. We

keep a list on the fridge, and when one of us thinks of an idea we

add it to the list. Once we get half a dozen or so ideas on the

list, we look at the number of people searching for the topic using

overture (as I described on our free site at

)

Some sources of inspiration for us include:

* our hobbies, and the hobbies of our family or friends

* our work

* our personal interests and problems

* magazines and newspapers (I always get ideas from the Virgin

airlines in-flight mag, Voyeur)

* TV shows, especially current affairs or niche channels (like

Lifestyle or Discovery).

In the first eclass of our mentoring program you get 10 ways to

find some good ebook topics, and loads of examples as well so you

know if you are on the right track.

Plus, as a member of our mentoring program you also get one-on-one

time with us, so we can give you feedback about your ideas and help

you to refine them - believe me, you don't want to be "re-inventing

the wheel" and wasting the time and money that I did when I first

learned this stuff! For just $49 a month you can get all the help

you need to be on the way to your very own internet business.

If you have already joined our mentoring program, welcome! I look

forward to helping you towards your success.

If you have not already joined our mentoring program, you can find

out more at

Please let me know if you found this email useful, or if there is

any other info you need by emailing me at info@

Love to hear from you.

Day 5

Subject: Another great tip to help you find an ebook topic

Hi {!firstname_fix}

How's the hunt going for a good ebook topic?

Remember, what you're looking for is an "inch-wide, mile-deep

niche". That means it needs to be something very specific, that

lots of people are looking for. No, more than looking for - are

passionately interested in! Something they obsess about.

If you're still at a loss (I've had people email me saying "but I'm

just not creative enough to come up with new ideas!"), then here's

something that can help. This is a method that I've used to find

some really unusual (and profitable) niches...

Go to overture. This is the website I talked

about at which you can use to see how many

people are searching for your chosen topic each month. You simply

type in your key word up the top left, and the number of people

searching for your key word each month will appear on the right

hand side of the screen.

Now remember that the numbers you get on pixelfast are the number

of people that searched last month on the search engine "Overture"

for your key word. You can multiply that number by 10 for total

world-wide searches (as Overture has about 10% of the search engine

market).

This is a great way to find out the size of your market. BUT - you

can also use it to come up with new ideas. Here's how...

Go to overture and begin by typing in generic

terms like "build" "learn" "buy" or "how to". On the right hand

side of the screen you will get a list of the most common phrases

people search for that include these words. And you get a real mix

of things. For example if you search for "how to", you get the

following great niches:

How to tie a tie - 105,782

How to knit - 36,153

How to kiss - 30,215.

There may well be a profitable ebook in each of these!

Of course you'd need to do a bit more research first looking

for competition on Google, and testing the response rate

with a survey site. (And maybe some practical research is

needed on the third niche on the list....)

It's amazing isn't it. Since Overture is about 10% of the total

search engine market, that means that over a million people

world-wide searched for "how to tie a tie" last month!

You've gotta be able to make money out of that!

If you would like some 1-1 help with setting up your very own

internet empire, we'd love to have you as part of our mentoring

program. For just $49 a month you get weekly eclasses, as well as

access to us to answer your questions and give you some guidance.

Just go to for more

information about what you get when you join our mentoring program.

We'd love to help you to get one step closer to your passive income

goal!

Kind regards

Andrew and Daryl Grant

Day 7

Subject: Can’t access the guided tour?

Hi {!firstname_fix}

I'm really sorry if you've been unable to access the "guided tour"

of our internet business. I've had so many people tell me they

can't get into it, that I've come up with 2 alternatives:

1. You can download the presentation and watch it on your computer.

But be warned, it's a big file (25 MB) so if you're on dial-up it

may take a while. And make sure you don't go over your monthly

download limit! If you want to download, instructions are below.

2. I have a DVD of Andrew and I giving a talk in Sydney a couple of

months ago. I'm happy to post you a copy if you would like to email

me your postal address. The DVD goes for 87 minutes. Now please

only take up this option if you are seriously going to watch it -

I'm more than happy to send it out to you, but it's a fairly major

task for us to produce a few hundred DVDs!

If there is anything else I can help you with, please email me at

info@

Regards

Daryl

Download instructions for the Camtasia guided tour:

1. Click on this link or copy and paste it into your browser:

2. When asked, click "save" and save it into your chosen directory

as a zip file.

3. Wait while it downloads (note - if you are on dial-up or ISDN

this could take up to an hour)

4. Go into the directory where you saved it and right click on the

file "guided tour"

5. Click "extract all"

6. Click "next"

7. Click "next" (if you want to save it into the same directory you

downloaded it into)

8. Click "finish"

9. Open the folder "guided tour" by double clicking on it

10. Open the html document called "guided tour" by double clicking

on it.

Enjoy!

Day 10

Subject: Want to see some successful ebook examples?

Hi {!firstname_fix}

I find it helps heaps when looking for a good ebook topic, to see

some examples of what's working well.

Here is a great website you can go to, to see loads of examples of

ebooks that are selling. Just go to .

Clickbank is the internet's largest seller of ebooks. It's kind of

like Amazon, but for ebooks rather than hard copy ones. You can

browse through their catalogue of ebooks, and check out the

websites that sell them.

Just click on "buy products" to get to the list of categories.

Choose a category to browse, (eg Home and Family) to see a list of

the top ebooks in that category.

A really important thing to note: the list is ranked according to

the volume of sales. So by looking at the ones at the top, you can

see what's selling the best in that category. You can then narrow

it down by clicking on the sub-categories (eg Crafts) to see the

top ebooks in each of the sub-categories.

If you click on the ebook title it will take you to the sales page,

so you can check out the way they do the marketing too. Really

useful research!

If you would like some extra help in setting up your own website

selling ebooks, please let us know. We'd love to have you as part

of our mentoring program - we'll help you every step of the way,

with suggestions and feedback, and eclasses that are emailed to you

every week.

Day 17

Subject: Answers to some of your questions

Hi {!firstname_fix}

Sorry to send this out as a mass email, but we've had an

overwhelming response from people who've visited

lately. Thank you everyone for your kind

words about how helpful you've found the site. It's great to see

some of you already applying what you've learned. Well done!

We've had people ask so many great questions that I thought I'd put

together some Q&As for you on the ones we've been asked most often.

Here goes...

Q1. "If I apply your process, how long before I make any money?"

A1. If you join the mentoring program and apply the information in

the eclasses as they come out each week, you should have your first

money-making ebook up and running in about 8-10 weeks. These days

it takes us about 6-8 weeks to have a new topic up and running (the

longest time is spent getting the book written - we allow about a

month).

Q2. "How long does each eclass in the mentoring program take to go

through?"

A2.The eclasses are organised so that if you are working full time

you should still have enough time to complete one each week. Each

eclass takes 2 - 5 hours (not all in one hit though). You can

choose to go faster or slower than that if you want. If you fall

behind it doesn't matter as you'll always have access to the

information.

Q3. "Once an ebook is up and selling, how much time does it take

each day to keep it going?"

A3. That depends on a couple of things. The main ones are (a) how

well it's selling, and (b) how thorough your book is. If the book

is selling well it may generate lots of queries. But if your book

is really thorough and well laid out, people won't be confused

about the information you're giving them, and so you'll get fewer

queries. There are also some easy ways to set up automatic

responses, which you learn in the mentoring program. Allow 15-20

minutes a day on average.

Q4. "What are the ongoing costs?"

A4. The costs are about 30% of income. This is what it costs you

for your Google ads to get people to your site. One of the nice

things about Google advertising is that you "pay per click", ie you

only pay when people actually visit your site. Because ebooks are

delivered electronically there are no printing or shipping costs,

so overheads are minimal.

Q5. "Why isn't everyone doing it?"

A5. Great question! Although a surprising number of people are. If

you go to and select "promote products" you can

browse through the thousands of ebooks that people are selling.

It's a great way to get a feeling for what's working. The best

thing about it is that the books are listed in order of popularity,

with the best sellers at the top in each category. Really useful

research.

Hope this helps.

Please email me at info@ if you have any other

questions.

Regards

Daryl Grant

PS - There are still spots available on the mentoring program. For

just $49 a month you get weekly eclasses, as well as access to us

to answer your questions and give you some guidance.

Just go to for more

information about what you get when you join our mentoring program.

Day 24

Subject: More Q&As

Hi {!firstname_fix}

We've had a great response to the Questions and Answers we sent out

in our last email about , and requests for

some more. So here goes...

Q1. "How many ebooks are you selling, and how long have they been

going?"

A2. We have 7 ebooks on the go at present - you'll find out more

about them during the mentoring program as I often use them as case

studies. We started our first one in October 2004, and our most

recent one only a couple of months ago.

Q2. "How did you learn the process in the first place?"

Andrew and I are members of Mal Emery's Platinum mentoring program,

and learned the process from him. If you don't know Mal, he's

Australia's greatest direct response marketing guru (well, I think

so anyway!). The easiest way for you to hear about how we started

is to listen to the 6-7 minute discussion between me and Mal on his

website, .au . It's about half way down the page, next to

our picture. And yes, you'll hear me talking about how sceptical I

was at first!

Q3. "How many ebooks do you sell each day?"

A3. 20-30 ebooks would be an average day for us.

Q4. "Are most of your customers from the USA?"

We have sold our ebooks all over the world. We believe that it's

important that you find a topic that is international, to maximise

market size. Our main markets are USA, UK, Australia and Canada,

but for example in the last 2 days we also made sales to Ireland,

Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Barbados, Jamaica, Luxembourg,

South Africa and Thailand.

Q5. "How do I get paid for my ebooks once I set up my own site?"

A5. When someone visits your website and wants to buy, they click a

link that takes them to , who process their credit

card. Clickbank is the internet's largest seller of ebooks (kind of

like , but for electronic books rather than hard copy).

Clickbank send you a cheque twice a month. There are other ways to

sell your ebooks, but Clickbank is a very easy one to start with.

Hope this helps.

Please email me at info@ if you have any other

questions.

Regards

Daryl Grant

PS - I'd love to have you as a member of our mentoring program. For

just $49 a month you get weekly eclasses, as well as access to us

to answer your questions and give you some guidance.

Just go to for more

information about what you get when you join our mentoring program.

Day 31

Subject: And still more Q&As

Hi {!firstname_fix}

I must say, I've been impressed with the thought that people have

put into their questions about our money-making ebook process. If

the same level of energy goes into implementation there will be

some great successes!

Here are answers to the latest stack of questions...

Q1. "How long is a typical ebook?"

A typical ebook is about 30-50 pages (10,000 to 16,000 words).

People don't expect ebooks to be as long as a hard copy book. They

tend to have less "padding", and cut to the chase quicker.

Q2. "If you get someone else to write your ebook for you, who owns

the copyright?"

Q2. If you get the product written for you by a freelancer, say on

, then part of the agreement is that you own the

copyright. If you do a joint venture with an expert on a topic,

then you need to set up an agreement with that person about

ownership. There are a few good ways to do this, and they are

covered in the mentoring program.

Q3. "How does the one-on-one time work in the mentoring program?"

The mentoring program includes 4 hours of 1-1 time with us. You can

use it all in one hit, or over a period of time. If you are in

Brisbane then we can do these face to face, otherwise via phone,

email or Skype. Depending on what your needs are you would be

talking to me, Andrew, or our techie.

Q4. "When I join the mentoring program, do I have to sign up for a

certain amount of time?"

A4. You can stay a member of the mentoring program for as long as

you want. You get an eclass every week, so when they stop being

useful to you, just let me know and I will unsubscribe you.

Q5. "If I want to stop my mentoring program membership, how do I go

about that?"

A5. You can either email me and let me know that you want to stop

your membership. Or you can click the "unsubscribe" link at the

bottom of any of the emails that come from the mentoring program.

Your credit card will also stop being charged at this point.

Hope this helps.

Please email me at info@ if you have any other

questions.

Regards

Daryl Grant
