Membership Application

To apply for membership to the Council for Supplier Diversity Professionals, you must meet the eligibility requirements listed on the website at

Eligibility of General Members: Persons may be admitted as Members of the Council who meet the criteria for membership established by the Board of Directors of the Council. Requirements for membership include:

a) Employment in or acts as an agent of a corporation, government agency, or non-profit organization that has a supplier diversity program or is in the process of starting one.  The corporation/organization must proactively seek out diverse-owned businesses as suppliers.  A “supplier diversity program” means there is at least one individual charged with leading supplier diversity who proactively promotes diverse-owned supplier capabilities to supply chain management or purchasing.  The initiative must have the tools to track, and record spend that will allow the supplier diversity lead to knowledgeably set spend goals and determine capacity development needs.

b) Responsibility for or influence on supplier diversity and responsibility for the inclusion of underrepresented groups in the purchase of goods/services to diversify the business entity's supplier base.

c) Participation in local supplier diversity efforts (for example, events hosted by the NMSDC or WBENC or affiliated regional councils.)

d) Participation in a working committee of CSDP, which are as follows (committee definitions provided below):

➢ Marketing

➢ Membership

➢ Program, Education and Professional Development

➢ Information Technology

➢ Governance (Committees may be added or deleted at the discretion of the residing CSDP Board of Directors)

e) Payment of annual dues and maintenance of membership in good standing. Dues are $150 but are subject to change without notice.

f) Willingness to sponsor future efforts to enhance the organization.

g) Participation in general membership meetings.

Finance Committee

The mission of the Finance Committee is to ensure the fiscal well being of the Council od Supplier Diversity Professionals; oversee and administer the financial affairs of CSDP, including a business checking account; collection and monitoring of annual dues; and maintenance of 501c6 non-profit tax status.

     

Governance Committee

The mission of the Governance Committee is to ensure the long-term stability for the Council of Supplier Diversity Professionals; maintain and help implement the Council's Bylaws, oversee and administer the election of the Board and appointment of its Officers. Providing mentoring and insight to the Board, typically the Chair of the governance committee will be a long term standing member of the council.

     

Marketing Committee

The mission of the Marketing Committee is to create and promote the awareness of the Council while ensuring consistent use of its name and logo within the standards set by CSDP.

     

Membership Committee

The mission of the Committee is to facilitate the review and approval of membership applications to the CSDP and to maintain contact information and committee lists of CSDP membership.

     

Professional Development Committee

The mission of the Professional Development Committee is to promote higher learning which results in the professional advancement of CSDP General Membership. Our vision is to increase the number of highly proficient Supplier Diversity leaders who have the ability to influence positive change in their respective organizations. This committee also shares platforms with partner organizations and supply chain professionals who have goals that complement the work of CSDP.

     

Program Committee

The mission of the Program Committee is to develop, plan, and implement the format and content of Council meetings. The Committee will improve CSDP program quality and expand program possibilities. The Committee will do this by creating stimulating programs that add value for CSDP members and address key initiatives impacting supplier diversity professionals.

     

Technology Committee

The mission of the Technology Committee is to assist our membership in efficiently using global communication solutions; to educate our corporations and communities regarding the socio and economic advantages in supporting diverse suppliers.
